The T-34-85 is the standard medium tank in the Soviet Red Army, has medium armour and weaponry. Like the Stalin, the T-34-85s were produced in great numbers, but the mass production caused a lack to the structural integrity, making the tank much more vulnerable than many other tanks.

Real world history[]
When the Germans invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, the last thing they expected was a tank that not only matched their finest armoured beast, but also surpassed it in every way. Some German tanks at the end of the war might have outgunned the T-34, but for the bulk of the conflict it was the standard by which all medium tanks were judged.
Characteristics[]
It is the medium tank with the least amount of hit points, however, its firepower and armour still make it a force to be reckoned with. In fact, it ties the M4 Sherman and can offer stiff resistance to the Tiger, unless the German tank is upgraded. With its decent armor, good range and mobility, and excellent firepower, it can bully light and medium tanks into submission.
Compared to the T-70 it is a massive upgrade.
Like almost all Soviet armor, it comes with the "Dig in" feature. It is effective on the T-34 and gives it added staying power in battles. However, it takes a while for the barricade to be set up or lifted, so use it with caution as it can backfire in case the enemy uses artillery or lots of mobile, high-range units.
Availability[]
The T-34 is available to the Soviets as soon as they hit Tech Level 3 and is produced in the War factory. It cannot be obtained from a Soviet Black Market.

- Basic Training — makes all newly-created T-34-85 tanks start with the first veterancy level.
This upgrade works only if the player captures a German base and researches the relevant upgrades.

Tactics[]
The T-34 tank is the cheapest of the Medium Tanks and is also quite powerful. Using T-34 tanks with their "Dig in" ability can create a decent defense that would take quite some effort to remove.
Abilities[]

Counters[]
Exoskeleton rockets, Ice Spitters or Sonic tanks can all make life hard for the T-34. Massed anti-tank infantry can also demolish it eventually. Heavy tanks like the IS-3 Stalin or Maus will also make short work of this machine.
